RICOH RDC6000 Camera Utility (Ver. 1.0)


Product Description:
RICOH Digital Camera Utility allows for the transfer of images and video 
files from the RDC-6000 to a computer via a Serial or USB connection. The 
installation of this program also installs the files necessary to use 
the camera's video capture capabilities when connected via USB.  
(see Video Capture Drivers below). The installation of this program also 
installs the Motion JPEG codec necessary to play back the camera's AVI files 
with Microsoft MediaPlayer Version 6. (see Video Capture Drivers below)


System Requirements:
1. Pentium based PC
2. Windows 95, 98, 2000, or NT4.0
3. 32 MB RAM (64 MB RAM recommended)
4. 100 MB free hard disk space
5. CD-ROM drive
6. Mouse, Functional USB Port


Installing the software:
Run the Setup.exe program from the Camera Utility folder on the Ricoh 
software CD. Follow the onscreen instruction.

How to use the RDC6000 Camera Utility:
Please refer to Software Manual included in the Software CD.

 
Notes: 
1. Do not disconnect the cable during transferring images.
2. Do not turn the mode dial of the camera during transferring images.
3. Windows 98/2000 user must install the camera's USB driver prior to using 
   the camera via USB.
4. Maximum number of images to download at one time is 200 images.
5. In case of images more than 200 in the card, more the number of images in
   the card, processing speed to display thumbnail gets slower.
6. Total number of images in the SmartMedia Memory Card must be less than
   1000.

 from Ricoh is required if the program is going to be installed on a 
 network server for the sole purpose of distribution to other computers.

 Copyright. 
 The software contained in this package is owned and published by Ricoh, 
 and is protected by United States copyright laws, international treaty 
 provisions, and all other applicable national laws. The software must be 
 treated like all other copyrighted materials (e.g. books and musical 
 recordings).
 This license does not allow the software to be rented or leased, 
 and the written materials accompanying the software (if any) may not 
 be copied.

 Limited Warranty. 
 Ricoh, warrant that the software contained herein will perform substantially
 in accordance with the accompanying documentation.

 No Other Warranties.  
 Ricoh disclaim all other warranties, either express or implied, including 
 but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a 
 particular purpose, with respect to the Software, the accompanying written 
 materials, and any accompanying hardware (if any).

 No Liability for Consequential Damages.  
 In no event shall Ricoh or the suppliers be liable for any damages 
 whatsoever (including but not limited to damages for loss of business 
 profits, business interruption, loss of business information, or any 
 other pecuniary loss) which results from an inability to use this software,
 even if Ricoh have been advised of the possibility of such damages. 
 Because some states/jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation 
 of consequential or incidental damages, the above limitations may not apply
 to you.


 U.S. Government Restricted Rights. 
 The Software and documentation are provided with Restricted Rights. 
 Use, duplication, or disclosure by the U.S. Government is subject to 
 restrictions as set forth in subparagraph c (1) (ii) of the Rights in
